Triller Fight Club: Twitter reacts to Belfort’s standing TKO of Holyfield

In a rather depressing match, Vitor Belfort TKO’d Evander Holyfield in the first round at Triller FIght Club. After multiple knockdowns, the referee saved the day and waved the bout off while the ‘Phenom’ was still firing unanswered shots against a standing Holyfield. MMA Twitter reacted to the bout.

Happy for vitor but man IT sucks to see HOLYFIELD like that.

Props to the referee for saving Holyfield and the Florida commission there. At least someone is willing to look out for fighter safety.

If this was a stoppage in a fight between two fighters in their prime, I’d be pissed. But a 58 year old legend stepping in on short notice. Getting knocked down and receiveing more shots after that….I’m ok with the stoppage.

And like that it’s over @vitorbelfort showing he is still very dangerous wonder if @OscarDeLaHoya still wants the fight with Belfort after seeing he still has the power? We could keep this boxing vs Mma going would be a honor to box ODLH @trillerfight

The year I born Evander Holyfield was winning medal in the Olympic game. Much respect. See him in the ring today was an inspiration.
