Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have never quite forgotten their rivalry, and the former opponents reignited their disdain for each other Tuesday.
It all started with McGregor dropping a photo of a previous faceoff with Diaz along with the caption that said “now add 30 pounds of muscle onto me and say ding ding in a Dublin accent.”
That didn’t sit too well with Diaz, who has rarely missed an opportunity to take a shot at McGregor but in this particular instance he seemed even more irritated than usual considering the Irish superstar is currently nursing a broken leg suffered in his last fight against Dustin Poirier in July.
“Bruh you can’t walk or fight right now, why you talking sh*t?” Diaz wrote in response.
Bruh u can’t walk or fight right now why u talkin shit? we talk later pic.twitter.com/WJXyljjD5s— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) August 31, 2021
McGregor answered back by saying “who can’t [fight]? Come through and see you little skinny fool, you be smacked up and rolled up you bum. Cali’s mine.”

Following the broken leg suffered in the fight with Poirier, McGregor had surgery to repair the damage done in Los Angeles and he’s remained in California ever since for his recovery and rehabilitation.
That puts him in much closer proximity to Diaz, who lives and trains out of Stockton, Calif.
That said, Diaz continued his attacks on McGregor while also managing to stick in a couple of jabs at Poirier and retired UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov for good measure.
“Nah b*tch you should’ve learned how to not break your leg when I checked your sh*t and you crutched outta the fight with me,” Diaz said to McGregor. “And how you gonna fight me when you can’t run for your life this time with your broken ass. You lost the last fight and ran for the hills just like [Khabib], you’re a p*ssy, too.
“Don’t forget [Khabib] was scared as hell of me and he beat your ass and finished you off. And don’t forget [Dustin Poirier] scared of me also but he beat your ass and finished you, too. You’re all p*ssies.”

Diaz didn’t stop there as he continued his diatribe while taking a shot at anybody and everybody coming at him these days.
“That means I’m the double, triple champ of this whole sh*t,” Diaz wrote. “F*ck all you p*ssies. P.S. you jumped ship on your country, b*tch. Go home. You don’t got any friends.”

That led to another response from McGregor, who also managed to take a swipe at Nurmagomedov while directly most of his venom towards Diaz.
“[Khabib] fled the cage and I boxed his whole family around,” McGregor said when referencing a post-fight brawl that broke out after he lost to Nurmagomedov in 2018. “And nobody finished me mate. I broke MY leg. No one or nothing else done anything to me. And anyway, don’t worry bout them. I’m here in Cali months doing what I want. It’s three on the street now man. F*ck your little sport. Little cockroach Diaz brother. It’s three on the street, grab the heat.”

The back and forth continued with another post from Diaz saying “It’s just business, remember [you’re] the sports man I showed you guys this street sh*t. I fought both your teams out the cage before any of you guys realized the real fight game. Sporty lil b*tches.”

That required one last response from McGregor, who appeared to put an end to the talking with his final message — only for Diaz to chime in once more.
“I’m a hair trigger mate,” McGregor wrote. You stay where you are in hiding if you know what’s good for you bro. God bless ya kid, have a good day.”

With McGregor laid up injured until at least sometime in 2022, it’s not likely he’ll get to settle his grudge against Diaz anytime soon but he’s long commented on his desire to finish their trilogy after splitting a pair of fights in the past.
Meanwhile, Diaz has targeted December for his return to action but there’s been nothing official announced regarding a date or possible opponent.
