Bisping: I hope Holyfield ‘beats the f-ck’ out of Belfort

Michael Bisping isn’t one to hold grudges, but the former UFC middleweight champion admits that he will take great pleasure in watching Evander Holyfield beat the tar out of Vitor Belfort on Sept. 11.

Or, at least that’s what he hopes will happen when both men square off in the boxing ring in a Legends match at Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Saturday.

“I hope Evander (Holyfield) beats the f*ck out of him (Vitor Belfort),” Bisping said on a recent episode of Believe You Me (h/t MiddleEasy). “That’s all I’m going to say, I’m not going to go into a technical breakdown of it. God (only) knows what Vitor (Belfort) has been doing. We knew he had good boxing, we knew he had fast hands, we knew he could pack a punch.”

Belfort, who is a known user of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), detached Bisping’s retina after landing a highlight-reel head kick KO in their 2013 middleweight matchup at UFC on FX 7.

Bisping accepts that he lost to Belfort ‘fair and square’ but still despises ‘The Phenom’ for almost ending his career (while on TRT).

“Evander Holyfield is a big dude… I f*cking hope (he beats Belfort),” Bisping said. “I would take great pleasure in that. I don’t care what you say, he was on juice and he beat me fair and square. When people beat me in the past, I don’t harbor a grudge, I wish them all the best… He’s just a piece of sh*t. I don’t give a f*ck… I hope Evander batters him.”

Holyfield vs. Belfort is scheduled to take place this Saturday, Sept. 11 at Triller Fight Club in Tampa, Florida. Holyfield stepped in as a late replacement for Oscar De La Hoya after the latter tested positive for COVID-19 and was forced to withdraw from the event.
